The Traditional Dress of North India

Punjabi Salwar Kameez is the basic and well-known dress for the North Indian (Punjabi) women. This is an identity of a kind for a North Indian or a Punjabi women community. These days the Salwar Kameezes or Punjabi Salwar Kameez is also famous all over the world. Wherever and whenever the word “traditional salwar kameez” comes, it means Punjabi Suit.

However,Punjabi Salwar Kameez is normally worn with a chunni or a dupatta. Kameez is the upper part of the dress. Traditional Kameez is normally long up to the knee and with full sleeves. It is almost fully covered from the back. The upper part of the  Salwar kameezes has different fittings. The Salwar is the bottom part of this Punjabi outfit and traditionally it is wide from top.Punjabi Salwar Kameez is very much famous for its comfort and look not only in India but all throughout the world.
